abstractSynopsis:
This play, through debating whether Confucius is gay or not, criticizes all ruling authorities throughout Chinese history who covered the fact that homosexuality has been in China since ancient times. These authorities misleadingly misinterpreted Confucianism and appropriated it to serve as ruling credos. It is presented in an arena stage with the party flag of KMT hung up at the back of the stage. The shift of scenes is done through the blocking of six actors, all in white robe, and the changing of light effects.
