abstractSynopsis:
With the concept of "home" as the focal point, this play is set in the future when Taipei has become ruins. In a remaining glass-paned high rise, three neighboring families tell us their ups and downs in their lives. 36 fictional or realistic characters engage in dialogues or monologues to showcase different scenarios in their lives. When the performance begins, the actors do not come on stage;only the actors' voices are projected from different corners in the auditorium. With lighting change and cue changes, the performance produces an effect of overhearing or hallucinating. Across from the auditorium, two glass pillars are set up. A ball is randomly dropped to hit the pillars, creating a creaking sound effect. As the story unfolds, vines and falling snowflakes are used to create special effects. In addition, when the radio show in the play introduces a rock band, the real rock band will show on the platform in front of the auditorium, doing live performances. When the play comes to the end, musicians also show up on the ...above the audience to play music.
