abstractSynopsis:
In the night of September 21, on the stage of Critical Point Theatre scenes of catastrophe after 921 Earthquake were represented. This place was shrouded in darkness. A cloth was hung from the ceiling to represent collapsed walls, exposed steels, and the relics of destructed houses. The stage was filled with water. Moonlight shone in through two windows which were reflected upon the water. Water kept leaking from the stage and spilled to the audience. The actors became soaking wet and turned out to be half-naked fish in the water. Owing to the darkness, director Wong almost fell off from the stage during rehearsals. This accident enhanced the feeling of catastrophe. In the end of the play, a goldfish jumped from a bag of water and an empty drawer was lowered to the ground from the ceiling.
