abstractSynopsis:
Journey of the Wind Birds was adapted from a naturalist writer, Ke-sion Liu’s novel Wind Bird Pinocha. The playwright-director, Re-fen Hsu centered this play on the protagonist, Pico’s mental journey during its migration from north to south. Pico’s mental struggle during the migration is just like what a human being would have been throughout his/her life. This play displayed how Pico struggled between the position of being a resident bird and a migrant bird when Pico arrived in the south as a migrant itself and faced birds of these two kinds. In the story, Pico desperately looked for his hero, Black, as if human beings looked for the destiny throughout their lives.
