Born in 1953, Wang holds a Master of Arts degree in Theatre at Trinity University, Texas USA. He suspended his pursuit of Master degree in film at San Francisco State University in 1978 and returned to Taiwan to work. The People¡¦s Heart Television Corporation, under his lead, has produced more than 200 hours drama programs and hundreds of news programs since 1984. It has won the Best Production, the Best Director and the Best Playwright in Golden Bell Award for several times. In 1992, together with Li-ming Hwang, Wang founded People¡¦s Heart Theatre and Rice Grain Field Film Workshop and focused on the making of stage plays and films. In 1999, invited by Public Broad Cast Station, he directed a prime-time drama series Great Hospital vs. Little Doctor, and opened up the local trend of idol soap opera.
