abstractSynopsis:
Incorporating actors and puppets, this play adapts Antoine de Saint-Exupery's The Little Prince to stage the journey and reflection of life. The play begins with a male character (who wears a pair of glasses) explaining the patterns on the sketch book in his hands;then, he starts a conversation with the puppet Little Prince. As Little Prince describes his life on the planet, B612, and his journey in different planets, the man takes off his glasses and embodies the characters portrayed by Little Prince. The two actors sometimes conduct conversations reminiscing those from Saint-Exupery's book. Sometimes, they deploy the props and puppets on stage together to portray different characters in the story (king, rose, fox, etc.). At the end of the play, the man puts on the glasses again and recounts the plane crash, symbolically ending his journey similar to that of the Little Prince.
