abstractSynopsis:
This play was first mounted in 1991. The version collected in this archive is the performance in 2000. Hence named The Fleeting Stars: 2000. This version was revised on the basis of 1991 version. It was about the stories of those anarchists (called as "Dark Youth") active in the 20s in Taiwan. Those characters, half real and half fictitious, represented lives who had sacrificed their youth and passion to Taiwan's struggle with colonialism. Lots of monologues were used during performance. There were only scaffoldings, swings and chairs on the stage. The actors, through collective and repetitive body movements, presented the feeling of alienation and solitude.
