abstractSynopsis:
Salt and Glutamate in 1993 is Peng’s first work as a director and it is also the first oral history theatre composed of real life stories of the middle ages and the elderly. ¡@¡@Salt and Glutamate, the necessities in a Taiwanese kitchen, is a Taiwanese slang referring to daily life or quarrels between husband and wife. With proper dosage, life will be richly flavored. This play also allowed these middle ages and elderly, still holding love and lust just like teenagers, to release their emotional suppression. Salt and Glutamate admitted that quarrel is a necessary factor for life of a couple. The ultimate goal for quarreling is to let them know that they can’t live without each other.
