abstractSynopsis:
This play, serving as a documentary, presented the preparing, training and producing process of Nine Rituals when it was staged in 1985. The documented production was divided into two parts¡Xthe ancient ritual and the modern ritual. Zo abandons language and simulates the ancient royal tune to present the ancient ode for the ritual. Bodily movements and sound are used to emphasize rhythm which creats a primitive but energetic natural environment. On the part of modern ritual, a dazzling rock n' roll concert conveys a sense of spiritual bareness, a result of rapid materialization in the modern world.
