Wu graduated from National Fu Hsing Dramatic Arts Academy and wan a B.A degree in Theatre from Chinese Culture University. He is currently the artistic director of The Contemporary Legend Theatre and associate professor at Theatre Department in Taipei University of the Arts. With Fulbright scholarship and Asian Cultural Council Fellowship, Wu went to New York University to take courses such as Richard Schechner¡¦s environmental theatre. He has been nominated for Best Actor for the Golden Horse Award and wan the Best Sheng Role for the Golden Award of National Army Artistic Achievement in three successive years and the Best New Performer for Hong Kong Film Award.
