Wang graduated from the Program in Movie and Theatre of Drama Department, Chinese Culture University. Establishing Xiao-Wu Theatre with his school mates, Tsai Mingliang and others, he actively participated in the 80¡¦s Experimental Theatrical Performances as playwright, director and actor. In 1993, he graduated from the graduate school of theatre at National Arts College, and was awarded the first MFA degree in Drama Writing in Taiwan. He has taught in colleges such as National Arts College (now National Taipei University of Arts). And he is now associate professor in the Theatre Department of National University of Tainan and is dedicated to drama writing as well as to education and research in the fields of arts and liberal arts in Nine-year Integrative Curriculum Correlation. He has been awarded many prizes for achievement of excellence in play writing by different institutions in Taiwan, including the Ministry of Education, Council of Cultural Affairs and Taipei City Government. In 1994, he received an award for achievement in play writing in the 35th Art and Literature Association Award. He has written approximately 30 plays and is still active in play writing these years. His works include At the Edge of Paradise, Scenery III, The Mutation of Phoenix, and Story of a Cat City. His publications include a four-volume play anthology, Dialogue between Unicorn and Bat, a biography, Taiwan Dramatist: Yao I-wei, and Modern Taiwan Literature Reader: Drama, which he co-edited with Guo Qiangsheng. His directing pieces include Le Petit Prince, produced by Taiwan Chinese Opera School; Story of Cats Town produced by Malaysian Gu Jianchan Theatre; Our Town of Tam Shui produced by Data of Theatre ; Love¡¦s Game,the graduation production of Department of Drama, Chinese Culture University and Ode to Autumn produced by Department of Theatre, National Arts College. His recent performing works include Ms. X in the third Chinese Drama Festival; The Truth, the fall quarter production of National Arts College; Kiss Me! Nana, Animal Man in Taipei, The Eight Sagas of Tian Lon: Qiao Feng, Manual for Complete Happiness, Cyrano, New Taming of the Shrew produced by Godot Theatre and Love Grows upon one Kiss produced by Taipei Story Theatre.
